BIMBO ODUKOYA (NÉE ABIMBOLA ROSEMARY WILLIAMS)
Born on the 12th of September 1960, Pastor Bimbo Odukoya (née Abimbola Rosemary Williams) had her primary education at St Mary’s private school and secondary school education at Holy Child College, Lagos. She did her ‘A’ levels at Federal Government College Ijanikin before proceeding to the University of Ibadan where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Archaeology.
She was the President of Single & Married ministry, the producers of the international weekly television programme, “Single & Married”. The programme was and still remains a favourite with many single men and women as well as married people because of the practical way in which issues relating to the family, marriage and relationships are handled; her teachings lay great emphasis on holiness, character and integrity. Testimonies abound from singles on how Single & Married has helped them to make right choices while married people also testify that Pastor Bimbo’s teachings on the programme healed their marriages.
Pastor Bimbo Odukoya was also the Chairperson of Discovery for Women, a ministry dedicated to challenging, motivating and empowering women in their various roles as wives, mothers and leaders. Over five thousand women attended her quarterly Discovery for Women rallies.
She was a national and international conference speaker; one of the most sought-after at home and abroad. She ministered on several university and polytechnic campuses in Nigeria before her call to glory.
A prolific writer, author and columnist, Pastor Bimbo Odukoya had regular columns in various international and national newspapers and magazines such as City People, This Day newspaper, Leadership and Lifestyle Magazine (U.K) amongst many others. She was also the author of the book How To Choose A Life Partner, 165 Questions To Ask.
As a sign of her acceptance, Pastor Bimbo Odukoya was one of the three people chosen by Samsung (official sponsors of the2004 Olympic games) to represent Nigeria in carrying the Olympic Torch in Athens, Greece at the 2004 Olympic games.
Pastor Bim as she was fondly called, was regarded by many as a pastor, mother, confidant, encourager, role model and mentor. Her appearances in public places like airports, hotels, restaurants, shops etc, were always greeted with commendations and requests for counseling by people who have come in contact with her ministry. Pastor Bimbo was married to the founding pastor of the Fountain of Life Church, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, and they had three children.
Pastor Bimbo received more than sixty awards from both Christian and secular organisations during her lifetime as a woman of high moral standards and a role model to many people.

Pastor Bimbo Odukoya boarded Sosoliso Airlines Flight 1145, bound for Port Harcourt from Abuja on the 10th of December 2005. The airliner crashed during landing at Port Harcourt International Airport; she survived the initial impact and later died from injuries on the 11th of December 2005.
